Kestin's Corner - We're more than a brand, we're a family.

As we look ahead to the year that lies before us, it’s impossible not to reflect on the year that just concluded. 2019 was a big year at Hempler’s, and we wanted to highlight some of our most memorable milestones.

We launched a line of beef jerky. Have you tried it yet? You’ll be hooked!

We introduced a new Uncured Landjaeger. With a new, more authentic recipe, we added a member to our family of high-quality protein snacks!

We said good-bye to Mr. Hempler. Not all of our milestones were happy, and this one was definitely painful. But as we reflect on all the work he did for our company and our community, we enter 2020 eternally grateful for his legacy.

We began offering Pepper Jack Cheese Smoked Sausage. Another new product launch! Hempler’s R&D has been busy!

We provided hams for Lydia Place Thanksgiving meal boxes. For the last several years we’ve been proud to partner with Haggen and Lydia Place to provide 168 families experiencing homelessness a Thanksgiving meal.

Grateful for Community

Neighbors, Friendly reminder Lydia Place offices are closed Thursday AND Friday this week. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, December 2nd at 9am. While you're here we also wanted to say how grateful we are for you and our community of volunteers who helped package, sort, and deliver Thanksgiving meal boxes to over 150 Lydia Place families. For many of our families this is the first time they'll get to sit around a table together, as a family, and there's no pie sweeter than that! Special gratitude to Darigold, Hempler’s, and Haggen Food & Pharmacy for their generosity and for helping ensure our families feel seen, supported, and loved by our community.Love,Team LP

We partnered with KATU TV.
We enjoyed our foray into new media! Check out the featured recipe from The At Home Chef Lisa Glickman –
Spinach Salad with Bacon Bourbon Dressing.

We raised money for Home Team Harvest. Stationed outside CenturyLink field before October’s Thursday night game, we gave out pepperoni sticks to those who donated to Home Team Harvest benefitting NW Harvest.

CenturyLink Field began carrying our All Beef Franks.  Now you can grab your favorite ‘dog while watching your favorite team!

We supported summer camps for kids in foster care. We were proud to participate in a fundraising event for Royal Family Kids, where kids in difficult circumstances get a chance to simply be kids.

We donated over $12,000 to Make-A-Wish. We donate $50 for each double hit by the Mariners each season, and this was a banner year for doubles! We were thrilled to learn that our donation was enough to fully fund one wish!

We connected with more people than ever. Participating in community events like King 5 Konnected and The Taste of Kent helped us make new community connections.

We joined together to fight cancer. What fun we had participating in Strides for Cancer at GasWorks Park. A little rain couldn’t bring us down!

As we enter the new year, we remain grateful for this community that we are privileged to serve and we can’t wait to see what 2020 brings.

What were some of your 2019 highlights?
