Check out these easy BBQ Pork and Cheddar Sliders, which are not mini when it comes to taste! These sliders are the perfect addition to your gameday tailgate, or serve them as a fun party menu item!


2 pounds Hempler’s Ground Pork
1 small onion, diced
12 slider buns such as brioche buns or Hawaiian rolls
1 tablespoon tomato paste
1 cup BBQ sauce
¼ cup ketchup
2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
1 teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon black pepper
6 slices cheddar cheese
1 cup freshly grated cheddar cheese

Preheat the oven to 350° F.

Slice the entire slab of slider rolls in half horizontally. Place the bottom of the rolls on a baking sheet or in an oven-proof pan.

Heat a large skillet over medium heat. Add the ground pork and onion and break it up with the bottom of a wooden spoon, crisping it up until browned. Once the meat is cooked through, add in the tomato paste, BBQ sauce, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Heat for 3-4 more minutes till heated through. Remove from the heat.

Place the sliced sharp cheddar on the bottom layer of the slider buns, and then carefully transfer the ground pork mixture on top of the cheese. Then sprinkle with the shredded cheese. Top with the top slab of slider buns. Brush with olive oil and a sprinkle of sesame seeds (optional).

Transfer the baking dish with the sliders into the oven for 10 to 15 minutes until the cheese is melted. Serve immediately alongside your favorite sides.
