Using prepared crescent roll dough makes these tasty roll-ups a snap to make.
Ingredients
4 oz brick-style plain cream cheese, at room temperature
1/2 cup shredded Cheddar cheese
1 jalapeño pepper, seeded and minced
1/2 tsp paprika
1/4 tsp pepper
1 pkg refrigerated crescent roll dough
8 slices Hempler’s Center Cut Bacon, cooked and halved
Instructions
Preheat oven to 325°F. Mix together cream cheese, Cheddar cheese, jalapeño, paprika and pepper until combined.
Separate dough into 8 triangles. Spread cream cheese mixture evenly over base of each dough triangle. Top each with 2 halves of bacon; roll up starting from base to enclose filling. Place 2 inches apart on parchment paper–lined baking sheet.
Bake for about 25 minutes or until pastry is golden and bottoms are lightly browned. Let cool slightly before serving.
Tips:
- Substitute Monterey Jack for Cheddar cheese if desired.
- Serve with salsa, sour cream or guacamole, for dipping, if desired.
