Ingredients
1 package Hempler’s Original Center Cut Bacon
1 1/2 lbs ground beef
1 teaspoon kosher salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
4 slices sharp cheddar cheese
4 burger buns, toasted
Optional toppings: lettuce, tomato, pickles, ketchup, mustard, mayo
Instructions
In a large skillet or on a grill-safe pan, cook Hempler’s Original Center Cut Bacon over medium heat until crispy. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate and set aside.
In a bowl, season ground beef with salt and pepper. Gently form into 4 equal-sized patties, being careful not to overwork the meat.
Preheat the grill to medium-high. Grill burgers for about 4–5 minutes per side, or until cooked to your desired doneness. Add a slice of cheddar during the last minute of cooking and cover to melt.
Place buns cut-side down on the grill for 1–2 minutes until lightly toasted.
