‘Tis the season for pumpkin spice, and here at Hempler’s we got curious…what would happen if we let bacon in on this trend?
Now for all the nay-sayers, let us be clear. Pumpkin Spice bacon does not taste like pumpkin. It’s glazed with brown sugar and the earthy spices that are typically used to flavor dishes that feature pumpkin: cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, and allspice. What results is a delicious combo of sweet-and-savory with a hint of spice that gives your taste buds a treat reminiscent of all things autumn.
Seriously…trust us. Don’t knock it ‘till you’ve tried it.
