POSITION: Quality Technician

Quality Technician

REPORTS TO:

Quality Assurance Lead

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Hempler Foods Group is growing and we are adding several new Quality Technicians to our facility!

SCHEDULE:

2nd Shift – 2:00pm – 10:30pm
Base wage + $1.00/hr shift differential
3rd shift - 10:00pm-6:30am
Base wage + $2.00/hr shift differential

Wage: $19.00 - $25.00 per hour

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • Communications- Ability to communicate with clarity in a timely manner
  • Strong PC skills - Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Team Commitment- Ability to support teamwork to accomplish objectives
  • Have an eye for detail
  • Willingness and ability to learn and grow to better provide value to the company
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School or equivalent preferred
  • Previous Quality experience in a Food Manufacturing company

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • QA audits and documentation review including operational inspection and review of production generated paperwork
  • Verification activities of HACCP, SOP’s, SSOP’s and GMP’s
  • Provide support and training to employees
  • Conduct inspections to ensure USDA and SQF standards and customer specifications are met on raw materials, work in progress and finished goods
  • Laboratory work; sample collection, pH and water activity measurement, and chemical and microbiological testing
  • Perform product evaluations

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

PAY RANGE:

$19.00-$25.00/hr
