POSITION: PACKAGING LINE WORKER - 2ND SHIFT (3PM - 11:30PM)

Packaging Line Worker – 2nd Shift

REPORTS TO:

Packaging Supervisor

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Work closely with co-workers in packaging the highest quality products within the required schedules, while meeting the strictest requirements related to food preparation. The position can be physically demanding, and you will work closely, both physically and in coordinated efforts, with your co-workers.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Able to read and interpret rules and procedures.
  • Previous food plant experience helpful.
  • Problem solving skills.
  • Be a self-motivated individual.
  • Must have excellent safety work habits.
  • Be flexible and willing to work various shifts as needed.
  • Experience working in a customer-focused and fast-paced environment.

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  • Sort, grade, weigh, and inspect products, verifying and adjusting product weight or measurement to meet specifications.
  • Stock and sort product for packaging or filling machine operation, and replenish packaging supplies, such as wrapping paper, plastic sheet, boxes, cartons, glue, ink, or labels.
  • Attach identification labels to finished packaged items, or cut stencils and stencil information on containers, such as lot numbers or shipping destinations.
  • Clean packaging containers, line and pad crates, and/or assemble cartons to prepare for product packing.
  • Inspect and remove defective products and packaging material.
  • Regulate machine flow, speed, or temperature.
  • Stack finished packages of items, or wrap protective material around each item and pack the items in cartons or containers.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Stand up for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to bend, stretches, twists, or reaches with your body, arms, and/or legs.
  • Ability to make precisely coordinated movements of the fingers, hands and arms to grasp, manipulate, or assemble different size objects.
  • Ability to lift at least 40 pounds.

PAY RANGE:

$18 - $24
